Make These Four Cards in Less Than 15 Minutes
Hello and welcome to my studio! I’m so happy to have you here with me today. Because today I’m sharing with you these adorable cards that you can make in less than 5 minutes each. That’s right! I actually timed myself while making these cards and I was able to make all four cards in 14.23 minutes. Admittedly, I’d already chosen which designs I’d use. However, I hadn’t premade the card bases or anything else. So, from making the card bases to the final embellishments, these took less than 5 minutes each.
So you may be asking yourself how this is possible. And the answer is all in collections, kits, suites and quick card fronts. These products deliver in style! We all have those times when we need a card and we need it quickly. So having products like these on hand is VERY helpful with that. They are also perfect for those 15 minute weekend craft sessions. And these products are absolutely perfect for the beginner paper crafter because most of them have almost everything you need to make cards quickly. Plus they often have additional items on offer that coordinate perfectly.
That being said, these 4 cards are made using the “Winnie the Pooh” Collection by Echo Park Paper Co. and the “Silly Goose” collection by Carta Bella Paper Co. These can be found at online stores such as Scrapbook.com and Simon Says Stamp. I absolutely love these collections! Take a look at some of my latest POSTS and you’ll see plenty of projects I’ve made using these same collections! Below, I’ve shared a list of the supplies I used followed by a quick tutorial, including measurements, for making these four cards. So, without further ado, let’s get krafty!

Let’s Get Krafty
- First, choose your CS for your base. You’ll need either a pre-scored Card Base for a 5 x 7” card OR you can make it yourself! It’s really easy. Trim white CS to 7 x 10”. Score the long side @ 5”. Fold and burnish your score lines. Now you have your 5 x 7” card base. Easy, right?
- Second, choose your focal point layer from the paper collection and use your paper trimmer to cut out the 4×6” design of choice. It’s better to use your paper trimmer for this as it will make a perfectly straight cut that’s a lot more difficult with scissors.
- Third, choose your background layer Card Stock (CS). These are the blue and yellow CS rectangles on my cards. For the 5 x 7” cards, trim the CS to 4 7/8” x 6 7/8”. Choose a color that coordinates with your main element. For both of the Winnie the Pooh cards, I chose to use a light blue CS as the background. And for the Silly Goose cards, I used a piece of yellow CS.
- Lastly, use glue or a good tape runner to adhere your layers onto your card base. Add any stickers you like from the paper packs or any images you choose from the stamp and die sets you can purchase separately. Complete your design by adding colorful gems or dots (optional). That’s it! You’ve created an adorable greeting card quickly and easily. Well done, You!

*NOTE:
I was going to use red CS for the Winnie the Pooh cards and the only red CS I had was some I purchased from a big box store. It’s inferior paper and when trimming it with a paper trimmer, it just shreds the edges. So, if you ever have paper that leaves a shabby edge, it’s probably not your trimmer blade, it’s the paper. So, I will always purchase my paper from well known companies online. The papers I buy from Scrapbook.com, Simon Says Stamp, etc. are GOOD PAPERS. The papers over at Stampin’Up! Are absolutely amazing!
Keeping It Krafty
In Closing, I’d like to thank you again for joining me here today. Because I love what I do and I adore sharing my ideas with you! These 4 cards were such fun to make! I don’t usually worry about how quickly I make a card because I find it so enjoyable. Honestly, I get a fluttery feeling in my tummy when I embark on a new project. And it’s pretty much the same sensation as when I’m going hiking, boating or shopping! 🙂 However, I’m sure we all have those times when we need a card and we need it quickly. Cards like these work like a charm. It was far quicker to make these cards than it would have been to stop at a store and choose one. So, as a paper crafter, I’ll always have good quality CS in white plus assorted colors on hand. I’ll also have designer papers, “collections”, “kits”, “suites” and “quick card fronts” in my craft room. There are many choices at online stores such as Scrapbook.com and Simon Says Stamp. We can now purchase products from Whimsy Stamps at those stores. And Whimsy Stamps has some awesome Quick Card Fronts! I also purchase many products from Stampin’Up! They have great CS as well as beautiful designer papers. And they have several “Suites” to choose from as well. So there is a huge selection of paper crafting products on offer. No matter what it is that you decide to make, just make it your own. And always remember to keep it Krafty!
Until next time,
