It’s a Bridge Fold Card for the Golfers
Hello and welcome to my studio! I’m so happy that you’ve stopped by my little studio today. Because, today, I’m sharing this really fun-fun fold card. I love what I do and I just adore sharing my ideas with you! Also, Father’s Day is just around the corner and this card is perfect for the golfing Dads.
Interestingly (or not ), my home is situated on a golf course . So I see that very picturesque golf course and golfers all day long. No matter the weather, those who love golf will play all day! So, I decided to create a Father’s Day card in honor of those die-hard golfer Dads out there. Yet, keep in mind, this card could easily be used for a birthday as well just by changing the sentiment on the front and the message on the back. And it can be made for anyone who enjoys a game of golf.
Okay, so I’m sharing the same card made two completely different ways. Yet I used my Cricut to create the elements for both of these Father’s Day cards. I’ll explain these two techniques later in this post. Also, I’ll share an alternate way to create a card like this without a Cricut or any smart cutting machine. Below, you’ll find a list of the supplies I used to create these cards, followed by helpful photos and a little bit of how-to. I’ll also share a link to my FREE design in Cricut Design Space! So, without further ado, let’s get krafty!

Let’s Get Krafty-Ink Blended Version
- First, choose your papers – gather all of the card stock colors you think you’ll use to make this Father’s Day Card.
- Second, choose your ink pads and blending brushes
- To create the card base: trim light blue card stock to 6 x 8.5” and score @ { 1.25, 2.5, 6 & 7.25 }.
- If you are using your Cricut to create the elements of this card—
- use THIS LINK ( to get to my free design in Cricut Design Space )
This link will take you to your Cricut Design Space “Home” page. And my design should automatically show up. Then, if you’re not planning to change the size of anything, just click on the “MAKE IT” button. You will be directed to the cutting mats page. Then you simply follow the prompts, add your chosen card stock onto the mat and allow your machine to cut these card stock elements for you. Also, have your Cricut pen ready for the “pen then cut” sentiment. Use a sheet of white card stock for the trees and the hills. You’ll need a sheet of white card stock in your printer for the “sticker” elements to print then cut.

Once you have all of your elements cut out: tree line, hills, golf cart layers, golfers, sentiment and message-place them to the side of your work surface and prepare for your ink blending.

Building Your Golf Themed Father’s Day Card
- To finish your ink-blended card. Adhere your trimmed panels to your card base. Then adhere your 2 ink-blended lighter colored hills to the left and right side panels. These hills should be trimmed to 6 inches in length.
- Now, place your completed golf cart wherever you think it should go. And place your sentiment on the front of the card.
- Finish this up by trimming a piece of white card stock to 3.25 x 5.75 and adhering it to the center of the back of the card base. And then add your “print then cut” message ( Tee Riffic Dad” ) onto that. Adhere your golfer “ if using” wherever you wish.
- You’ve now created your very own Golf – Themed Bridge Fold Card! WAY TO GO!
Let’s Get Krafty- Cricut Only Version

- For the Cricut only version: trim card stock to 6 x 8.5”.
- Use the link to my free design in Cricut Design Space: HERE
- Have your Cricut to cut your trees, rolling hills, golf cart pieces, “write then cut” sentiment and the “print then cut” message.
- Use Glue to adhere the colorful pieces onto your golf cart base. You can choose any colors you wish for this golf cart-just by adding your choice of colored card stock onto your cutting mat. For example, if you want the golf cart to look similar to their personal golf cart and theirs is red with a white top, then just choose those papers. That’s a cute way to personalize this card.
- Now adhere the background hill, the darkest green hill, to your card base.
- Then adhere the trees.
- NOW place your card stock base upside down onto your paper trimmer w/scoring tool or any other scoring tool you have and score your card stock @ ( 1.25, 2.5, 6 and 7.25” ).
- Fold and burnish your score lines and then add your 2 hills by adhering just the left and right edges. This creates the bridge of your bridge fold card!
- Finally, you add your golf cart wherever you think it should go. Then adhere your sentiment to the front of your card.
- Trim a piece of white card stock to 3.25 x 5.75” for the back of the card. Then adhere your “print then cut” message ( Tee Riffic Dad ) to the center panel on the backside of the card base.
- That’s it! You’ve now created an easy and whimsical golf-themed Father’s Day card! YAY!
Let’s Get Krafty- NO CRICUT Version
- If you want to make a card that is similar to these cards and you do not have a Cricut machine then buy one! You won’t regret it! ( Just kidding )
- Create the base of the card the same as above.
- Draw some rolling hills on 2 different shades of green card stock and then use scissors to cut them out. You’ll trim the length to 6 inches. The height can be whatever you feel looks right to you.
- OR use hillside die set to create hills and trim the length to 6”.
- Adhere the background hill onto your card base.
- If you are using “TREE” stamps, stamp your trees along the hill as you see fit.
- If you are using “TREE” die sets, then cut your trees out of a darker green CS.
- Adhere the Die Cut Trees to your card base.
- Die cut your golf cart and any other elements you’d like to add to your card. Then adhere your pieces to build your cart.
- Adhere your 2 light green rolling hills to the card base by adding glue to the right and left sides. Place your golf cart and any other elements where you think they should be on your card.

Keeping It Krafty
In closing, I’d like to thank you again for joining me here today. This has been a really fun-fun fold card to make. Bridge fold cards create a nice 3D effect and stand up beautifully. I was inspired to make this card because of the views I see from my windows every day. And these cards are simply a whimsical version of that view. (See photos below) Golfers are just built different, right?
Nothing seems to stop them from playing. If the golf course is open, they’re there. From 35 degrees and howling winds to 99 degrees of humid horror, they will play! So these are the people who will love to receive a hand-made card like this one. Father’s Day, birthday, Christmas(oooh, there’s a thought) or whatever you like, this golf themed card will be perfect! I made the ink blended version of this card because I wanted to experiment with using the Cricut and card stock to make a stencil and a mask for ink blending. Then I decided to make one without any ink blending. The Cricut Only version is the quickest and easiest way to create this golf themed Father’s Day card. I have not tried making a card like this one without a Cricut. But I already know that would be pretty easy and lots of fun also! So, no matter what it is that you decide to make, just make it your own. And always remember to keep it krafty!
